No. This chip is designed to work with the "discus dental"/"PHILLIPS" - "ZOOM! Advanced Power" teeth whitening lamp.
The Battery life strongly depends on your frequency of uage and the storage time. In our testings every Battery lasted more than 20 hours of operation. Usually the Battery in the '10x4' version does not have to be replaced during its lifetime but can't be guarantied. In the case of an empty Battery the LED will be much darker and in the display of the Lamp you will see "Improper Guide" or "Replace Guide".
To renew a used chip hold the "RENEW"-button and keep it pressed during pressing the "RESET"-button. You will see the short flashing like always on pressing "RESET" and after a long flash which indicates that the renewal was successful. After renewing the '10x4' version nine times it will not renew anymore and you will not see the renew blinking sequence.
To mount the device you will have to take a Guide and remove the original chip by pressing the hooks with a screwdriver from the inside of the guide. After there are two possibilities to fix the inserted new connectorboard of the chip.
1. The nicer way is to cut the removed orange plastic clip and clip it in again.
2. Another solution is to just use any kind of glue to fix the connectorboard of the chip inside the Guide.
(Soon you will find a lot of video tutorials which will show how the chip is mounted and used.)
The '10x4' version can be used only for ten hours (10 * 4 * 15 minutes). It is shipped preloaded for four 15 minute sessions and can be renewed nine times using the renewal process.
The 'infinity' can be renewd as many times as you like.
In the future you will also find the chimicals and any other kind of bleaching material to use with different kind of bleaching equipment in our webshop.
Since you don't do any modifications on your lamp (only on the consumable - Guide) there should not be any loss of warrenty. (Our products are only a consumables and can be compared to the paper for a printer.)
If you read "Improper Guide" in your display just disconnect the chip, press the "RESET"-button, wait until the blinking sequnce stops and connect it back to the Lamp. If you are still having problem please replace the Battery. If both does not help please contact us and we will find a solution.
Yes. The chip always remembers its state and you will not loose anything by changing the battery or pressing the "RESET"-button. You can only loose time if you "renew" a chip which was used for some time - but not the full four sessions.
Yes. The chip always remembers the time left on the chip as long as you don't renew it.
